The Wok Restaurant Meghalaya, state of India, located in the northeastern part of the country. It is bounded by the Indian state of Assam to the north and northeast and by Bangladesh to the south and southwest. The state capital is the hill town of Shillong, located in east-central Meghalaya. Meghalaya—alaya (“abode”) and megha (“of the clouds”)—occupies a mountainous plateau of great scenic beauty. The state\'s territory constituted the Khasi-Jaintia Hills and Garo Hills districts of Assam until 1972. Most of the terrain is hilly and experiences heavy rainfall during monsoons. Meghalaya is home to three major tribal populations - Khasis, Garos and Jaintias. A couple of days back we had the opportunity to visit this beautiful state and explore some parts of the state and this is a small representation of what Meghalaya holds.
