'In this John Muir Trail. video, I break down all of the food I\'m carrying with me in my BearVault BV500 bear canister during the first 8-9 days of my through-hike. Also, if you\'re curious about what my John Muir Trail food list is, then check out this video. Pretty much the food I\'m bringing for the first half of my northbound JMT through-hike will be the same as the second half (in my 2 resupply buckets). From breakfast and lunch to dinner and snacks, I\'ll be averaging around 1800-2000 calories per day and eating mostly carbs (pasta and rice), proteins (tuna, salami, and nuts), and sweets (chocolate). I\'ll also have energy and fig bars for snacks. Be sure to check out the other JMT videos, links are right below. I go over my 16-day NOBO itinerary, what equipment I\'m bringing, how I\'m training, and other topics. Happy hiking!
