'Hey guys, In this video I detail some Must Eat Malaysian FOOD.I was lucky enough to visit Kuala Lumpur and I had some amazing Malaysian food. The food is incredibly diverse with a great mixture of many cuisines, you simply must visit and MUST EAT here if you get the chance. I hope you enjoy my MUST EAT Malaysian Food video :) I thought it would be helpful to write my top travel tips for Kuala Lumpur. Ill also add information for the places I visited during this video. Travel Tips: Prepare for HEAT!...and RAIN?? Kuala Lumpur gets super warm and humid! Make sure to pack for the heat you were likely expecting but also make sure to take things for the intermittent showers such as small umbrellas. Rain is more likely to occur closer to the evenings, so make the best of your hot afternoons Tourist Sites are CLOSE together A lot of attractions are actually quite close together in KL. I found most popular tourist spots easy to access on foot but there is always the Monorail and Metro. For example the KL Tower and he KLCC can be visited together. You only need half a day to see and experience both. Go and Enjoy The Night Markets You cannot miss the night markets here! They are as numerous as they are fun. In this video I went to Taman Connaught night market but you also can’t miss Pasar Malam which is AWESOME! Be a little adventurous and experience roadside dining as international Asian street food mingles with the local cultural delicacies. These night markets get very busy so please be aware of pickpockets! Learn a Few Words Now this tip isn’t essential, but it’s something I personally liked to do. Whilst locals will be fine understanding English It wouldn’t hurt to learn a few phrases. That way you learn something new, it’s fun and the locals will get a good laugh listening to you trying to speak! Ha! EAT LOTS OF AMAZING FOOD Kuala Lumpur is a beautiful city with a unique blend of Malay, Indian and Chinese food. It’s unique, tasty and there are places to try EVERYWHERE! Each exotic cuisine is a guaranteed flavor bomb, so be wise in judging your spice levels…and sweet levels! There is something for everyone. The food is also super affordable so you can do what I do and eat pretty much all day (and lots of walking to burn off the food, ha!). Don’t forget to eat at all the various shopping malls, KL has some great indoor food locations! GRAB Download the GRAB app. Whilst you can get to a lot of places by foot and public transport, it’s always nice to have a backup. GRAB is very much like UBER, but I actually much prefer GRAB. I find it safer, cheaper and easier to use. GRAB is very common in KL, make sure to download incase you need it. Not Everything Is Halal I mentioned this one in the video but it’s worth mentioning again. Without getting into the intricacies of what school of thought you follow or what certification you personally like to see…a lot of places in KL are straight up not halal. Many places also sell pork and alcohol. I very strongly suggest you ask if somewhere is halal for your peace of mind, ESPECIALLY if it is a Chinese restaurant as they often have pork as a staple in their cooking. Carry Toilet Paper Now before you laugh…this is one I learned the hard way (this is a story for another video!). A lot of public toilets, no matter how nice the building is, often have NO toilet paper. Keep a small amount in your day to day travel bag… You really don’t want to be left wanting Download Google Offline Maps A little known feature of Google Maps is offline mode. Go into your app and make sure to download the map for KL, that way even if you don’t have any signal you can still navigate yourself to where you need to go The Places I ate at in this video: Dolly Dim Sum: https://goo.gl/maps/drKLpieCsBUi4VNs7 Cendol @grandmama’s: https://goo.gl/maps/SnpTnRaAPck5YzQf6 Durian @Sumptuous Desserts: https://goo.gl/maps/1dmnxFLnQyTAgm6W6 Teh Tarek @ Bungkus Kaw Kaw: https://goo.gl/maps/wJ2TuNrf3HAdWEpU8 Nasi Lemak @Wanjo Kampung Baru: https://goo.gl/maps/Dq2HgVC5eygR6PL7A Nasi Kendar @Pelita Nasi Kendar: https://goo.gl/maps/FmBhdFXG51XjaRw87 Connaught Night Market: https://goo.gl/maps/rrgrKxzxbdqt14JQ7 Jalon Alor+ Mango Sticky Rice: https://goo.gl/maps/qKBiDizz9kmezwPH7 Other Must Eat Dishes: Fish Head Soup Laksa Mee Goreng Support my channel buy checking out my merch: https://teespring.com/en-GB/stores/halal-food-travel-guy Below you\'ll see all the equipment I use for my reviews!
