'The Chinese Centre for Disease Control says the initial coronavirus outbreak did not come from wet markets. The organisation reported the first cases of coronavirus had been traced back to the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, in the city of Wuhan. However, after an investigation of the animals at the site, scientists from the United States and China concluded there was no evidence to suggest the jump between animal hosts occurred at the Seafood market. The director of the Chinese Centre of Disease Control says the markets were a \"victim\" of the outbreak. They believe it may have been the site of a \'super spreader\' event where 41 of the first cases originated. Image: Getty'
