'Macro Nutrients and Micro Nutrients tamil/keto diet/vitamins and minerals/Carbohydrates/ Protein/Fat what is the difference between macro nutrient and micro nutrient? Micronutrients are the ones we need in small amounts, like vitamins and minerals.\" He says macronutrients are foods we measure and eat in grams because our bodies need a lot of them, while micronutrients are often measures in micro- or milligrams, because our bodies don\'t need quite as much. MACRO NUTRIENTS What are Macronutrients? Nutrients are environmental substances used for energy, growth, and bodily functions by organisms. Depending on the nutrient, these substances are needed in small amounts or larger amounts. Those that are needed in large amounts are called macronutrients. There are three macronutrients required by humans: carbohydrates (sugar), lipids (fats), and proteins. Each of these macronutrients provides energy in the form of calories. For example: In carbohydrates, there are 4 calories per gram. In proteins, there are 4 calories per gram. And in lipids, there are 9 calories per gram. This means that if you look at a food label and it lists 10 grams of carbohydrates, 0 grams of protein, and 0 grams of fat, that food would contain 40 calories. CARBOHYDRATES Carbohydrates are the sugars, starches and fibers found in fruits, grains, vegetables and milk products. Though often maligned in trendy diets, carbohydrates — one of the basic food groups — are important to a healthy diet. PROTEIN Proteins are essential nutrients for human body. They are one of the building blocks of body tissue and can also serve as a fuel source. As a fuel, proteins provide as much energy density as carbohydrates: 4 kcal per gram; FAT Fats are one of the three main macronutrients, along with carbohydrates and proteins. Fat molecules consist of primarily carbon and hydrogen atoms and are therefore hydrophobic and are soluble in organic solvents and insoluble in water. Examples include cholesterol, phospholipids, and triglycerides MICRONUTIENTS Micronutrient. Micronutrients are essential elements needed by life in small quantities. They include microminerals and Vitamins. Microminerals or trace elements include at least iron, cobalt, chromium, copper, iodine, manganese, selenium, zinc, and molybdenum. VITAMINS vitamin is an organic molecule that is an essential micronutrient which an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism. Essential nutrients cannot be synthesized in the organism, either at all or not in sufficient quantities, and therefore must be obtained through the diet.   1.water soluable vitamins 2. fat soluable vitamins MINERALS Minerals are solid substances that are present in nature and can be made of one element or more elements combined together (chemical compounds). Gold, Silver and carbon are elements that form minerals on their own. They are called native elements.'
