'LINK to Food Processor: http://amzn.to/2phL58s Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap Food Processor. It measures 16.25 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide and 8.7 inches deep. The unit weighs 6.5 pounds. Suction feet. Before using, wash all the parts except the base in warm soapy water. Dry everything. All the parts are dishwasher safe just don’t use the SANI setting of your dishwasher. The base can be wiped down with a damp cloth and dried. The cord length is 25 inches. I’ll show you all the parts. Here is the base with the control panel. The on/off button, slice/shred, puree/mix and pulse/chop. Put the bowl on the base. The bowl holds 12 cups. The chopping blade goes slides straight down the motor shaft. The shaft is not removable. The lid goes on, line up the pour spouts on the lid and bowl. Put both latches down. If you don’t put the latches down, the unit won’t work. If you want to chop or mix, use this S blade and put the ingredients in the bowl. To slice or shred, use the included reversible disc. One slide is for slicing and one for shredding. You would put the food to be sliced or shredded in the chute and put the large food pusher in the chute. There is a max fill line so your food cannot go above that. A small food pusher is also included to use with slim food like carrots. The instruction manual has a few recipes and tips on using the food processor. Let’s go ahead and see how well this food processor works. First we’ll make salsa. Use the S blade. When you’re processing garlic cloves and very small foods that you want to process finely, it’s best to turn the machine on and then put the food through the chute. With the machine running, I’ll put in 2 garlic cloves and 1 jalapeno pepper cut up. Add ½ an onion, 3 tomatoes cut in quarters, cilantro leaves, lemon juice and salt. Food should be cut into 1 inch pieces for processing. I’ll pulse this a few times. You cannot use this food processor to grind coffee beans or spices, knead dough or crush ice. Next, we’ll try the disc for shredding. The bowl goes on the base. The disc is marked slice or shred. Put the disc on the motor shaft with the shred side up. Put the lid on and latch it. potatoes for hash browns. This is a block of cheddar that is cold, straight from the fridge. When shredding soft cheese, put the cheese in the freezer for 30 mins before processing. Most food processors recommend that your cheese be cold and hard so it’s easier to process. Cheddar is not soft so you don’t need to freeze it. Next, we’ll try slicing with the disc. Seedless cucumber, bell peppers. Cut product to fit the chute. Noise level is tolerable. Overall the Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap is a decent value at this size and price point. If you want to try out this Hamilton Beach Stack & Snap, I’ve put a link in the description.
