'Under the auspice of the First Lady of Egypt, a Gala Dinner sponsored by the Ministries of Agriculture, tourism, culture and social solidarity was organized in the Cairo International Conference Center mainly for awareness raising and fund raising for TeleFood projects. The Gala Dinner was described by the media as an extraordinary ()successful Event. It gathered some 700 guests including Ministers, high level officials, Ambassadors, UN Agencies Representatives, celebrities, businessmen and media. The Event was reported in most of the media (television, Radio and written media); most of the well known TV Channels broadcasted part of it or reported it as an Event of the day. Several articles were published in newspapers and magazines praising this FAOs initiative, underlining the importance of the hunger issue in the region and stressing on FAOs efforts including TeleFood projects in this regard.
