'http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com A tourist won\'t starve in Egypt. Wonderfully fresh produce is grown along the Nile embankments and in desert oasis; gigantic buffets served in hotels; and restaurants for all budgets. Typical Egyptian food like Koushary/Kushary/Koushari and Ful (vegetarian dishes made from beans), Baba ghanoush (mashed eggplant), Tahini (sesame seed dip), and delicious flat breads are everywhere and cost almost nothing. Neither Steve nor I lost any weight in Egypt - we also remained healthy by eating only in guide-recommended restaurants! Love the food....'
