A very large group of raccoons (started slowly) gathered around and began smelling the power bank. They \'\'attacked\'\' Melanie & stole the gadget at a certain point. It\'s good she loves animals because that was pretty scary.... To answer everyone\'s concern: I really love animals and I have survived a lot in my life. I believe the love we get from animal is worth some risk. The biologists working on the mountain informed me that they keep notes on and vaccinate all of the raccoons on the mountain for rabies. Perhaps a few are not vaccinated-- sure... but most are. And I took the risk consciously knowing full well (and fearing) that one could get shocked by my movements and nip me. But going with my trust I felt the raccoons are 1. just interested in my food (not in me) 2. they fear me more than I fear them so power was on my side as long as I stayed calm nothing would happen.'
