01:23 Apr 30, 2021
'Suitable for teaching 7-11s, this film sees children from Cairo, Egypt, and Cambridge, UK, ask and answer questions exploring food from ancient and modern Egypt. The goal of the Egypt Past and Present Project, funded by the British Council Newton-Mosharafa Fund, is to bring together school-aged children from Egypt and England, alongside Egyptian and international archaeologists, to answer questions on life in Egypt today and in the time of the Pharaohs. Focusing on the archaeological site of Ancient Amarna, the best-preserved city from ancient Egypt, the project aims to introduce the fascinating site of Amarna to future generations and to spread understanding of this unique site around the world.'
