'Argentina Asado Feast! While in Mendoza, Argentina we thought it was the perfect time to try Argentinian food! This was our first time trying Argentinian Asado/Parrilla! To start things off, earlier in the day we tried a food that came to Argentina from Italy, Milanese! Made from veal, the meat is pounded and breaded, this type was topped with cheese, bacon and green onion. We found it at Jebb’s in Chacras de Coria. After this we got a small treat from a local bakery, a cookie called Alfajores. We had tried these in Chile and we’re happy to try it again in Argentina. Lastly we headed for a huge Asado meal at a restaurant called Anastasio El Pollo. Here we had Provolo (cheese melted over a fire served with fried bread), loads of Asado with tonnes of different types of meats, grilled veggies and chicken.
