Across the world, two billion people do not have regular access to sufficient food, 750 million individuals are experiencing severe food insecurity, and 690 million people are hungry. This is while, we produce enough food to feed everyone; yet, many suffer from malnutrition. Today, on the World Food Day, we are calling for global solidarity to help all populations. We need to make our food systems more resilient, to withstand climate shocks, to deliver affordable and healthy food, to nourish a growing population and to sustain the planet.
