This year’s WFD theme – Social Protection and agriculture: breaking the cycle of rural poverty – highlighted the importance of reducing rural poverty and granting everybody access to food. Bunga’s painting was exhibited at the World Expo in Milan during the celebration of World Food Day 2015 in Italy. She was awarded an FAO medal during the UN Day celebrations held at Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, on the 10 November 2015.
